09 Jun 2016 ROAD SECTOR
The Batang-Semarang Toll Road with a total length 75 kilometres and worth IDR 11 trillion connects Merak, Banten up until Banyuwangi Jawa Timur. This road developed as a part of Trans Java Toll road.
This project is the first toll road adopts Public Private Partnership (PPP) scheme and also the pioneer of highway project guaranteed by the Government through PT Penjaminan Infrastruktur Indonesia (Persero)/Indonesia Infrastructure Guarantee Fund. Furthermore, this project listed as one of the National Strategic Infrastructure Projects stated at Presidential Decree No 3/2016. Moreover, The Presidential Decree No 38/2015, listed 19 (nineteen) projects both economics and social infrastructure which can be guaranteed, including this toll project.
The project signing ceremonial took place at Ministry of Finance on 27 April 2016. In this occasion, Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing acted as Contracting Agency and PT Jasamarga Semarang Batang acted Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) inked the Toll Road Concession.
In the same time, the Guarantee Agreement amid PT Jasamarga Batang Semarang and PT Penjaminan Infrastruktur Indonesia (Persero)/Indonesia Infrastructure Guarantee Fund (IIGF) also signed as well as Recourse Agreement between PT PII and Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing. In addition, Ministry of Finance and State Own Enterprises witnessed all the procession.
