Sitinjau Lauik Road is part of the route connecting Padang City and Solok City. However, the current geometric condition of the road does not meet traffic safety and comfort standards. The bends in Sitinjau Lauik have a combination of non-ideal horizontal and vertical geometry, with a small horizontal curve radius and a large vertical gradient, causing high accident risks and vehicle operating costs. Improvements are needed to improve traffic safety and comfort in the area.
