Urban Farming Creative Economy Empowerment CSR Program

PT Penjaminan Infrastruktur Indonesia (Persero) as one of the Special Mission Vehicles (SMV) of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia through its corporate social responsibility program expands the scope of "urban farming" in Semarang City as a form of creative economic empowerment.

We previously carried out this program for residents of RW 02, Bambankerep Village, Ngaliyan District, in October-December 2020. Currently the scope of the program is for residents around the West Semarang SPAM 'project', and this time we are carrying out 'urban farming' for residents of RW 04. Kedungpane Village, Mijen District.

The Urban Farming Creative Economy Empowerment Program for residents of Kedungpane Village, Mijen District, which will be implemented until September 2021. This program is a form of PT PII's concern for residents in the environment around the construction of the Drinking Water Treatment Plant which is part of the Drinking Water Distribution System project ( SPAM) West Semarang.

Through this program, it is hoped that residents will get benefits, both for each head of the family and for the neighborhood where they live through the concept of green open space to balance the quality of life of residents in the environment around the West Semarang SPAM project.

This series of programs begins with the opening of a program that has been carried out some time ago, then continued with training activities for residents to enrich their knowledge starting from the introduction of "urban farming", nurseries, transplanting, fertilization, plant care, greenhouse making, demonstration plots and also introduction of plants. aesthetic. Residents will receive assistance from Tiga Step which is a partner appointed by PT PII as program implementer.

This program has been carried out since the end of June 2021 but has been delayed during the implementation of PPKM. Residents are very happy and enthusiastic about this program and always ask when the program will start. In accordance with the government's instructions, we have postponed for the safety of citizens in an effort to break the chain of COVID-19.
