On Friday (13/11) the signing of the Guarantee and Regress Agreement for the Public Private Partnership (PPP) project, namely the Yogyakarta - Bawen Toll Road, in the Main Marga Area of Borobudur Temple, Magelang, Central Java. This project is expected to have a major impact on increasing regional economic growth in Central Java and Yogyakarta and can also improve connectivity between regions, especially Semarang - Yogyakarta access.
The 75.82 km toll road project scheme is a User Charge with a concession period of 40 years from the Commencement of Work Order (SPMK). The purpose of the construction of this toll road infrastructure project is to improve accessibility between Semarang and Yogyakarta, including as one of the keys to increasing regional economic growth in Central Java & Yogyakarta. In addition, the indirect benefit of this project is an increase in employment due to project development.
The construction of the Yogyakarta - Bawen Toll Road project is a further success after the Solo - Yogyakarta - NYIA Kulon Progo Toll Road. Besides being able to reduce costs, the construction of infrastructure projects also changes the behavior of life and the economy of the community.
The Ministry of Finance through PT PII will provide guarantees covering the risk of delays in land acquisition, the risk of delays in returning the Land Talangan Fund (DTT), the risk of delay in tariff adjustments, temporary political risk and permanent political risk. The guarantee provided by PT PII is intended to provide certainty and comfort for investors in investing in the Toll Road project.
