09 JULY 2024

PT Penjaminan Infrastruktur Indonesia (Persero)/PT PII together with the Special Mission Vehicle (SMV) under the Indonesian Ministry of Finance, namely PT Geo Dipa Energi (Persero), PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur Indonesia (Persero), PT Sarana Multigriya Finansial (Persero), Indonesian Export Financing Institution (LPEI), PT Indonesia Infrastructure Finance, and PT Karabha Digdaya launched the Social and Environmental Responsibility Synergy Program (TJSL), namely the Environmental-Based Community Empowerment Program in the Serayu Watershed. This activity was carried out at the office of PT Geo Dipa Energi (Persero) Dieng Unit, witnessed directly by the Deputy Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia, Suahasil Nazara on Sunday (7/7).

The Deputy Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia, Suahasil, who was present at the activity, said that this TJSL program is a real step by the Ministry of Finance's SMV to be able to provide more benefits to the community.

Meanwhile, President Director of PT PII, M. Wahid Sutopo said that PT PII is committed to supporting the TJSL synergy program in order to save the Serayu River Basin, in order to increase the social, economic and environmental impacts for the community around the Serayu River Basin which is the Dieng PLTP project area, one of the projects guaranteed by PT PII.

This activity will have a positive impact on repairing ecological damage and improving the community's economy. In addition, reducing dependence on environmentally unfriendly agricultural practices is also expected to increase community income, one of which comes from dairy goat and sheep farming and animal feed management.

Acting Regent of Banjarnegara, Muhammad Masrofi, said that this program is real evidence of the Ministry of Finance's SMV concern, both in social, economic and environmental aspects. According to him, through this program, planting conservation plants around the Serayu River, which are also plants for animal feed, will significantly encourage environmental improvement efforts.

In line with this, Sociologist from the University of Indonesia, Imam Prasodjo, also supports these efforts. According to him, the collaboration of 7 (seven) companies under the Ministry of Finance will be an entry point to open a bigger collaboration to save the Serayu Watershed. For information, this activity is not the first time it has been carried out because previously in 2022, the Ministry of Finance's SMV had carried out synergy through the Shrimp-Carbon Aquaculture (SECURE) Program and Sustainable Mangrove Ecotourism in Berau, East Kalimantan, and in 2023 with the Circular Economy-Based Waste Management Program in Yogyakarta.
