PT Penjaminan Infrastruktur Indonesia (Persero) / PT PII, one of the Special Mission Vehicles (SMV) of the Indonesian Ministry of Finance, is providing guarantees for one of the road infrastructure projects under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) scheme, namely the Bogor-Serpong Toll Road Project.

PT PII's support was marked by the signing of a Guarantee Agreement by Acting President Director of PT PII Andre Permana and President Director of PT Bogor Serpong Infra Selaras Eldy Ellyus, as the designated Toll Road Business Entity, and a Regress Agreement between the Minister of Public Works (PU) Dody Hanggodo, as the Person in Charge of the Cooperation Project, and Acting President Director of PT PII Andre Permana in Jakarta on Friday (3/10).

The guarantee agreement and regress agreement followed the signing of the Toll Road Concession Agreement (PPJT) by the Head of the BPJT of the Ministry of PU, Wilan Oktavian, and President Director of PT Bogor Serpong Infra Selaras Eldy Ellyus, as the Toll Road Business Entity.

On that occasion, Indonesian Minister of Public Works Dody Hanggodo stated that the construction of the Bogor-Serpong toll road via Parung is a strategic hub for growth in Greater Jakarta (Jabodetabek).

"For the Bogor-Serpong toll road via Parung, this section is a strategic hub connecting growth centers in Greater Jakarta and connecting the pulse of community life. Three main values: growth, social justice, and general economic development are the spirit of every dam we build, every irrigation network we expand, and every toll road we will inaugurate," said Dody.

Head of the Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT), Wilan Oktavian, stated that this project has an investment value of IDR 12.351 trillion, with construction spanning 32.03 km, with 27.83 km in West Java and 4.2 km in Banten. "Thank God, the signing of the toll road concession agreement can take place today because one of the requirements, including the environmental permit, we recently obtained, is in place. This project also receives guarantee support from PT Penjaminan Infrastruktur Indonesia, as a form of risk mitigation and long-term project sustainability assurance," said Wilan.

Meanwhile, Acting President Director of PT PII, Andre Permana, stated that through this guarantee, PT PII provides protection against key risks that often pose challenges in infrastructure projects, namely delays in land acquisition, delays in tariff adjustments, and temporary and permanent political risks.
